“It didn’t make sense to me for us to sleep with other people when the distance gap would be closing so soon and right after having such a big conversation like having kids,” she said.
“He agreed that night that we wouldn’t sleep with anyone else in between that time. I was arriving in the city & to stay with him on Tuesday, and he called me Sunday saying he slept with someone else on Friday.”
“He slept with someone else four days before I get to the city, four days before I am supposed to stay with him for the next 9 days while I finish getting my own apartment set up.”
He claims he had too much to drink while out celebrating a promotion with his friends, and it slipped his mind that they agreed to be exclusive.
He promises he’s still interested in her and actually regrets what he did. He wishes he could take it back and admits to feeling terrible.
However, adding to the confusion, he maintains he does not recall their latest conversation about exclusivity and that it was blurry to him.
“Neither of us had slept with anyone but each other in 5 months while we were 1,600 miles away, and he broke that four days before the distance gap was closed,” she continued.
“It’s over between us now. I feel like I was cheated on and discarded as soon as he got a taste of the high life after his promotion. I was the one who was there for him in any way I could be while he worked towards this promotion.”
“I was excited to celebrate him getting promoted and me moving to the city, and us finally being able to give it a real shot, and he celebrates by [sleeping] with someone else four days before I get there.”
She’s left wondering if it was silly of her to think he would stick to their plan of exclusivity before she made her move.
She’s also curious if she even has a right to feel so incredibly hurt by him sleeping with another girl just four days before her arrival.
