She knows the $5,000 she offered won’t take her sister very far payment-wise, and by the summertime, her sister will be struggling to pay for it.
“What boils my blood is they know I’m livid but don’t care,” she explained.
“Mom went on [for] a whole hour about how [my] sister’s ‘eyes lit up at the sight of the car.’ We had talked about this for months. My sister and parents know 100% that she will not be able to afford this car, but they don’t care now. I’m considering backing out. I’ll tell them to return the car, and we’ll return to the original plan, or I’ll just invest the $5,000 in a five-year bond for my sister.”
While she likes the idea of backing out of her original offer, she’s wondering if it would make her a bad sister.
Should she make a change in her plans?
