The weather wasn’t the greatest, and it had been storming all day. Kimberly wanted to cancel their date but decided against it. In hindsight, she should’ve listened to her gut.
When she reached the coffee shop, she headed straight to the bathroom to check on her hair and makeup to ensure they hadn’t gotten ruined in the rain. As she emerged from the bathroom and strode toward the front of the coffee shop, he stared at her fixedly.
She thought he must’ve been impressed by her, but when they sat down together to chat, he pointed out another guy in the coffee shop and stated that it looked like Kimberly and the random guy had come out of the bathroom together.
She laughed it off, but he remained serious, demanding to know if they really had just been in the bathroom together.
She told him that the men’s restroom was right next to the women’s restroom, which was why they had come from the same area.
For the rest of the evening, Kimberly’s date kept looking at the man suspiciously and even accused her of being interested in him. Of course, that was their first and last date.
