That’s why she finally told her friend that, while she was sorry her friend felt so upset, she didn’t actually have any sympathy for their situation.
“I warned her many times about the consequences of not being safe. I told her that I love her and she is my best friend, but I was going to be blunt and I did not enjoy her calling me to just complain,” she reasoned.
Well, if you couldn’t have guessed, her friend did not take her remarks well and just hung up on her. Since then, her friend also will not respond to any of her calls or text messages.
Obviously, at the time, she thought she was justified in speaking up about her opinion. But, with her friend so angry at her now, she can’t help but wonder if admitting she wasn’t sympathetic was really the wrong thing to do.
“Was I too blunt? Should I have just kept my mouth shut and sympathized with her?” she asked.
