In response, she agreed that they could go on walks but reiterated that she didn’t want to discuss her weight anymore. Her mother-in-law said she was sorry but immediately commented that girls weigh more than boys.
“My mother-in-law said my daughter is ‘heavier than her brothers and will probably always be. That’s okay!’ I got so upset after that that she would even insinuate that a baby was fat or heavier or whatever,” she shared.
When she demanded that her mother-in-law say sorry for her insensitive remarks, her husband’s mom refused, so she kicked her out of the house.
After her mother-in-law left, she sobbed for a while, and when her husband arrived home from work, he wanted to know what was going on.
Once she told him about the argument with his mother, he saw her point of view and felt like his mom went too far with her comments.
Eventually, her mother-in-law said sorry but said to her husband that kicking her out of the house was a step too far.
