She Reconnected With Her Biological Daughter And Admitted She Had A Bad Feeling About Her Adoptive Parents, So Now Her Daughter Feels Resentful

I’ve always been fascinated by stories of parents who reunite with the children they gave up for adoption years later.

One woman is a bit stunned after reconnecting and then eventually losing touch with her biological daughter, who resents her for giving her away years ago.

She’s 36 and had a baby girl when she was only 17-years-old. Since she was so young and only in high school, she hid her pregnancy from everyone except the baby’s father for the first six months.

When her parents found out she was pregnant, they encouraged her to give her baby up for adoption. She had adoptive parents selected but didn’t meet them until they arrived to pick her daughter up from the hospital after she gave birth.

Upon meeting the adoptive parents for the first time, she had a bad feeling about them and felt they weren’t the right choice, but there was nothing she could do about it at the time.

She didn’t hear from her daughter until she was 15, and they started communicating and occasionally seeing each other in person. She found out her daughter left her adoptive parents’ house when she was still a teenager, and she eventually admitted that she had a bad feeling about them when she handed her over.

“Ever since then, things only went downhill,” she said.

“She became more distant as time went by, to the point where she stopped talking to me when the new year hit. I don’t know what I did. I even wrote her a few messages, to which I’ve gotten no response. I haven’t seen her since November, and I found out she was pregnant earlier this month through my ex.”

Finally, she recently received three letters and some pictures from her daughter, and they threw her for a loop.
