This 26-year-old guy has been dating his girlfriend, who is also 26, since high school, and they’ve been together for eight years. For the past two years, they’ve also been living together.
“And everything was going great apart from a few arguments that happen to everyone in a relationship,” he said.
However, he and his girlfriend recently heard a rumor about some of their friends that started to turn his own relationship upside down.
For some context, they are friends with six other couples– whom they meet up with occasionally and see on birthdays or anniversaries.
Anyway, he and his girlfriend found out that two of the couples, who regularly hang out together, actually decided to “exchange partners” for one evening.
Now, the thought of doing that with his own girlfriend totally rubbed him the wrong way. Yet, the idea seemed to do the opposite to his girlfriend.
In fact, ever since learning about the swinging, she’s continued talking about the rumor and acting all excited whenever the topic comes up.
“She’s calling things such as these very normal and happening all the time. According to her, it’s okay for them to do it and spice up their love life a bit,” he explained.
To be clear, his girlfriend hasn’t directly asked him to “switch” with another couple. Nonetheless, based on how positively she’s been talking about the idea, he can sense that she’d be on board with it.
