“The short of it was that I found out my sister’s boyfriend only tipped her $10 for our group of 12 people. I was taken aback because, based on our split, she should have gotten $120 in tips. I asked to see the receipt, and sure enough, it was $10. I apologized and gave her another $10.”
When she got to lunch and saw her sister with her boyfriend and their other friends, she immediately went up to him and asked him to give her $10 back.
Once the entire group realized what happened, the table broke into an argument and got kicked out of the restaurant.
“My sister is now mad at me for causing a scene and embarrassing her in front of her friends and the people in the restaurant,” she added.
Was she wrong to demand her $10 back, or was it the right thing to do after being scammed?
