Her boyfriend ended the call by mentioning that he was very happy in his relationship despite money-related issues. Then, he kissed her hand as he hung up like it was nothing.
“I sat there feeling a little embarrassed and humiliated,” she recalled.
“I know he didn’t directly say anything about me, but…ouch. I asked him about it, and he said he didn’t mean [to say] anything wrong.”
Her boyfriend told her he doesn’t consider her a ‘bill’ but sees their relationship as an expense that costs money to maintain. He also revealed that one of the reasons why he moved in with her was so he could help her afford rent and have an apartment.
Since their conversation, she’s still been feeling insecure.
