Her son’s bus comes to get him 10 to 20 minutes earlier than the bus that comes to pick up the rest of the kids.
She did not feel comfortable this morning leaving those poor kids all alone and without adult supervision for that length of time.
She ultimately decided to stand around with these kids until their bus came to get them since she felt so bad.
“It’s a well-known fact of the neighborhood that my son takes a different bus, as at the beginning of the school year, I had accidentally caused mass confusion when my son and I would show up at the bus stop long before everyone else,” she said.
“This mother has never once spoken to me. I don’t know her kids. My kid doesn’t even know her kids.”
“I don’t know why she showed up so early this morning, but if I’m once again left alone with a stranger’s kids, would I be [a jerk] if I just went home?”
