She Had Her Tonsils Removed When She Was 11, Yet 10 Years Later, They Actually Began To Grow Back, And The Pain Was Excruciating

When the doctor felt it, she informed Kirsten that her tonsil was regenerating. She explained that during the surgical removal of tonsils, a little bit of tissue usually gets left behind, and a new tonsil can start to grow from the tissue.

Kirsten was absolutely dumbfounded. She could not believe that her tonsil was growing back an entire decade later. She noted that if your tonsils do start to regenerate, they most likely won’t grow back to their original size.

Many TikTok users shared some of the incredible feats of physical regeneration they or others in their lives have experienced.

“My boss had her tubes tied, and she ended up having to have a hysterectomy years later, but the tubes had almost reconnected,” commented one user.

“I had a tonsillectomy at 26. My tonsils had ELONGATED down my throat & my doc was genuinely surprised that I had been able to breathe normally,” wrote another.

“My friend had gallstones AFTER she had her gallbladder removed. Apparently, that’s a thing that can happen. She had to have exploratory surgery to have the gallstones removed,” added a third.
