He insisted that she needed to be honest, but she mentioned that whatever happened back in college was not that important to warrant a conversation.
After arriving back at their house, he informed his wife that he was going to spend time with his brother until she decided she wanted to talk.
A day later, his wife came to his brother’s home and admitted to sleeping with 10 different guys while they were dating and doing long-distance for two years.
She tried to say it wasn’t a major issue since they were in a long-distance relationship, and she did not anticipate that their high school love would last.
Although they were long-distance for some time, they were still in a committed relationship, and he saw her a few weekends every single month.
He let his wife know that he wanted to get a divorce, which he followed through with just two weeks ago.
“Her family and most of my family are telling me I shouldn’t throw away my marriage over a few mistakes,” he said.
“I’ve stood by my belief that cheating on me with multiple men for years is unacceptable no matter when it happened, and the fact that she continued to maintain relationships with these guys right in front of me was an unacceptable amount of disrespect.”
“We have two children, but they are 17 and 19, and I believe they will understand why I need to end the marriage. Am I wrong for leaving? I feel like I’m going crazy with the number of people telling me to overlook years of infidelity and decades of lies.”
