Amazon River Dolphins Are Actually A Stunning Shade Of Pink, And These Sea Creatures Take On Their Rosy Hue Over Time Primarily Due To Their Diet

Like so many exotic creatures, the Amazon river dolphin is at risk of becoming extinct. Back in 2018, pink river dolphins were granted protection, and they are currently listed as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Their habitat and sources of food have been reduced due to mining activities, deforestation, and fishing. In addition, pollution has compromised the quality of the river water.

Efforts are being made to preserve their natural habitat, and governments are enforcing laws to prevent direct hunting and other illegal activities that can harm the dolphins and their environment.
