Margaret spent many of her later days spending time with other soldiers, which was who she felt more comfortable with as she tried to live with the challenges brought on by her injuries.
Unfortunately, Margaret lived a somewhat short life, as she died before turning 50 in 1800. At first, she was buried in an average grave, but after her death, she was moved to be buried at West Point with military honors.
Margaret was an incredibly brave woman who took matters into her own hands and heroically fought for our country.
