“She pointed out that I allow my other daughter to keep and spend the earnings from her babysitting gigs. It’s a ridiculous comparison because a teen having some pocket money from babysitting as a complement to their allowance doesn’t even begin to compare to the kind of money my other daughter is making now.”
However, he felt his daughter made a fair point, so he told her that he’d give her around the same amount of money her siblings make at their jobs on top of her allowance but that the bulk of her money would continue to be kept away until she turns 18.
His daughter is still upset with him and thinks he isn’t taking the issue seriously, while he thinks his idea is fair.
Is his idea fair, or should his daughter have access to all of her money?
