First, she told him that she was sick and tired of “babying” another man in their household. Then, she claimed that the cat either had to go or someone else in their house needed to step up and start taking care of it.
Now, ever since she said that her husband’s been angry– claiming that she was a jerk for phrasing her upset about the cat as “another man to baby.”
From her perspective, though, that couldn’t be more true. She already does her husband’s laundry, cooks all of his meals, and cares for him just as much as she cares for their young children!
“It’s turning into that with this cat, too, and I’m not a fan of this expectation that I will be the caretaker of everything and everyone,” she vented.
Still, with her husband now upset, she’s unsure if claiming that she doesn’t want to care for any more men in their household was really a jerky thing to say.
Does it sound like she’s overwhelmed by her current role in her home? Can you understand why adding a cat to the mix made her even more frustrated? How can she work with her husband to relieve some of the pressure she’s feeling?
