American Food
You don’t always have to pair your favorite American barbecue foods like burgers, fries, or chicken tenders with a beer. Feel free to class those dishes up a bit with a glass of wine!
A good burger goes well with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, as it’s a wine often recommended with red meat. But if you prefer white wine, Chardonnay is a great option to pair with all those flavors in American diner-type foods.
Indian Food
I love ordering Indian food for dinner as a special treat, especially as a fun way to switch up the foods I normally eat during the week to make things more exciting. There are so many flavor profiles in Indian food, with all the spices and heat.
If you love to order your Indian food spicy, which is often the best, you’ll want to cool things down with a nice bottle of chilled white wine. Riesling often gets a bad rap for being too sweet, but that touch of sweetness can offer a nice way to balance all the spices you’re eating.
If Riesling is too sweet for you, Sauvignon Blanc is a good choice too!
Hopefully, now you’ll feel a little more prepared the next time you’re craving takeout and wine. Sit back, relax, tuck in, pop the cork, and enjoy!
