This is actually a really cool way to save money on a remodel of fabric furniture. It kind of looks like leather or the start of a faux leather.
“But really, it just needed a second day and a second coat of paint. And it turned out perfectly,” she said.
“The final product looks like faux, embossed leather to me. And I absolutely love it. It’s crack-free and scratch-free. This is definitely the weirdest DIY I’ve ever done. Would you try this?”
The end product of this chair is amazing. She took a dated, dingy-looking chair and made it like new. It looks like leather, and it looks comfortable to sit in.
I would definitely try this DIY in the future rather than pay for the reupholstered. However this DIY would only work with a fabric that doesn’t have any holes or obvious damage that would need to be tended to.
