There’s An Off-Grid Community Hidden In The Woods of Somerset, England

While it may sound tempting to pack up your things and head over to Tinkers Bubble, they do not accept long-term residents out of nowhere.

They do, however, encourage people to visit Tinkers Bubble to volunteer and help them work for two to three weeks to get a sense of the lifestyle. Then, if a volunteer wishes to stay, the community will consider accepting them as a long-term resident based on how much space they have available and whether or not that volunteer works well with them.

Those who wish to volunteer for Tinkers Bubble must fill out an application on their website, which you can visit here.

If you live near Somerset and are curious to see Tinkers Bubble in person, this October, they’ll be hosting an “open day,” where visitors can tour the commune grounds, meet some of the residents, and try some of their locally grown products!

Would you ever consider living in a community like this one?
