It’s also important to note that her parents already owned three dogs of their own. So, the back door was left open pretty much all the time.
Still, she constantly told her parents no and reiterated that Kylo was an indoor cat. She also begged them to respect her boundaries and really thought that she had gotten her point across.
But that was until she received a horrible phone call from her dad just yesterday and learned that Kylo had been hit by a car.
She immediately broke down into tears and was screaming at her dad about how she had told them to keep Kylo inside. However, her dad showed no sympathy.
“Oh, stop, it’s just a cat,” he responded.
This pushed her to just hang up on her dad and call her best friend for support instead. Then, after having a good cry, she and her husband thought that her parents needed to face the consequences.
More specifically, they decided that her parents would not be allowed to watch her kids– their grandchildren– without her or her husband there, no matter the circumstances.
“If they can’t respect my one wish with my cat, what is to say they will respect my wishes with my children?” she reasoned.
Still, ever since refusing to let her parents babysit her kids anymore, she’s been left wondering whether that was a justified repercussion or not.
Why do you think her parents blatantly disrespected her boundaries? Would you trust them with your kids after that? Do you think she made the right decision?
