The boys began yelling that the toys were theirs, took them, and ran off. She started briskly following behind them while carrying her daughter, telling them to return them. Suddenly, a woman grabbed her by the arm and asked her why she was chasing her son.
“I told her to never touch me and [that] her sons were stealing my daughter’s toy,” she recalled.
“She said I am a grown adult, and I shouldn’t chase children, and her sons can play with that toy if they want to. I said I had no issue with them playing with it until they started banging it on the table and said they wouldn’t give it back.”
The woman said the boys could play with the toys if they wanted, and then they’d give them back. She told the woman that wouldn’t work for her, took the toys from her sons’ hands, and walked away. As she left, she heard the woman curse at her under her breath.
Later on, her sister told her she was wrong to take the toys from the boys’ hands, but she didn’t want anything to do with them for the rest of the day.
Did she do anything wrong, or was she right to take the toys from those kids?
