They split the cleaning in half, but she said, “I do 95% of the cooking.” Since her stepchildren are much older than her biological children, she has made sure not to ask her stepchildren to watch the younger children because she knows how unfair it is to demand that responsibility from them.
“Recently, in addition to spending quality time as a family of seven, I have also been wanting to spend time with just me, my husband, George, and Harry. My husband and I discussed this and are both in agreeance that this can happen,” she explained.
Despite having this plan in place, every time the family has spent quality time together, all of the children have been included.
“I have gone along with this and allowed it to happen on these occasions, but I can feel myself getting frustrated that I have expressed a need, and it keeps getting ignored,” she shared.
However, she doesn’t expect every family bonding experience to only include her biological children. She only wants to have a day with her husband, George, and Harry from time to time. Plus, she is thrilled to spend most of her time with all of the children being included.
Do you think she’s wrong for wanting to spend quality time with just her biological children and her husband sometimes?
