This immediately made her dad start apologizing, as well as her mom, and the conversation ended right then and there.
But, while she may have accomplished her goal at the moment, she has started to feel bad. Apparently, her parents told their friends that she isn’t able to have kids, so they have all begun reaching out to her– apologizing for her loss and telling her that adoption is always an option.
“I’m beginning to feel bad for lying just to get out of an uncomfortable conversation,” she vented.
So now, she’s not sure whether telling her parents that she cannot have kids to get them to stop talking about her dating life really just made her a jerk.
Can you understand why she got so frustrated by her parents? Do you think she had a right to lie to make them stop butting into her business? Or was she really in the wrong?
