Since she was off work and celebrating her birthday, the pharmacy tech sent her a message on Facebook to let her know that this man knew her name and seemed to want to talk to her. She messaged her coworker back and said she had no idea who this man was.
When she worked next, she was able to look through the store’s security cameras to find the man in question.
He didn’t look familiar to her at all, but she made sure to remember his face, just in case he came back into the store again.
A month later, she saw him in the store while she was working. At first, she didn’t realize it was him, but it eventually dawned on her who this man was, and he gave her a “really creepy smile” and a “flirty wave.” In response, she dashed away from the sales floor and back to the offices.
Luckily, the security team approached the man and said that he was no longer allowed to request personal information about any employees, their work hours, or their location. The man didn’t argue and promised to stay away.
However, her management has seen him return to the store several times. In each instance, her managers have made sure she leaves the sales floor and stays in the back until the man leaves the store.
Apparently, the man would come in and meander aimlessly around the department of the store where she normally worked as if he was looking for her or waiting for her to come back. To this day, this man still occasionally comes into the store.
Even though she knows this isn’t the scariest situation that some people might have to deal with while working retail, she still can’t help feeling uneasy having to constantly be on guard and aware of her surroundings, always on the lookout for the sketchy customer.
She has even had to change her work hours to try to avoid working when he may come into the store.
Also, she doesn’t believe the weird man who asked if he could take her photo is connected to the second customer.
Unfortunately, she seems to have coincidentally dealt with two unrelated, sketchy customers two days in a row.
