His Wife Mocked The Engagement Ring He Bought Her On Social Media, Before Laughing And Making Fun of Him To His Face

Even though he’s still not financially stable, he wants to do everything he can to make his wife happy.

But understandably, her digs at him and his family have hurt his feelings, and the constant arguments are exhausting.

His wife said it’s not fair that his aunt sold her old ring to his brother, but he pointed out that a lot of the reason his aunt did it in the first place was just because of timing since they had already gotten married months prior, and she just happened to be getting a new ring for her vow renewal at the same time that his brother was planning to propose.

“Today, she shared on Facebook a picture of a hen soup with a hen leg with a tiny wedding ring on its toe, comparing that ring to hers, saying it’s just like her. So, when she got home, she showed me the picture, laughing and making fun of me. I saw red. She publicly humiliated me for something I cannot control,” he explained.

By this point, his wife had been complaining about the size of her engagement ring for a few weeks. He was sick of the way she was treating him, and he told her that he wouldn’t put up with it anymore.

“I told her this way of treating people will lead her to die alone, and I was extra patient because I loved her, but I have to love myself first,” he continued.

In response, his wife called him an “immature jerk” and said that he was oblivious to the supposed fact that his entire family was being mean to him.

She then claimed that she was the only one in this situation who was kind to him. After this, he left the house to calm down. His wife called him a few times, but he didn’t answer because he didn’t want to say anything else he’d regret.

Now, he wishes he hadn’t spoken so harshly to his wife. While he didn’t yell at all, he knows what he said touched a nerve because, apparently, his wife has expressed her fears of ending up alone. She struggles with anxiety and worries that people in her life will hurt her.

And even though he struggles with anxiety and also has depression, he doesn’t bring those up during arguments to excuse bad behavior on his part.

He is on medication and does his best to cope in healthy ways, but he understands that everyone is different and deals with mental illness in their own ways.
