Well, his girlfriend is really angry at him about how he refuses to go over her list with the cleaning lady. She claims that, since they are paying for the service, they should be “getting their money’s worth.”
Still, he’s just not comfortable bugging the cleaning lady, and he told his girlfriend to just call and talk to the woman herself if she wants it done that badly.
Apparently, some of his feelings tie back to his childhood– specifically watching his mom work the same job.
“When I look at the lady, I see my mom,” he revealed.
“My mom used to do housekeeping when she first came to America, and there is no way I am gonna put too much pressure on the lady who is already doing backbreaking work.”
Still, with his girlfriend so annoyed with him, he’s not sure whether refusing to put more pressure on the cleaning lady is really the wrong thing to do.
