Her Boyfriend Publicly Berated Her For Opening A Credit Card At A Store Without Asking For His Permission First

“Then, he continued to belittle and yell at me the entire walk to the car and home– ultimately leaving me in tears trying to defend myself,” she revealed.

Her boyfriend claimed that she needed to run every single purchase by him, even though she is very good about never overspending. He believes that her credit is also his credit, and he doesn’t like how much she spends on beauty products.

She made it clear, though, that her only extra monthly expenses are for beauty treatments such as waxing and getting her nails and lashes done.

“Other than that, I’m really good with my money and don’t purchase unnecessary luxury items,” she said.

Still, ever since the incident in the store, her boyfriend has refused to speak to her.

“And I am embarrassed and belittled and felt he could have treated me with some more respect,” she vented.

Nonetheless, with her boyfriend so angry at her, she’s now wondering whether opening a credit card without asking her boyfriend’s permission first really made her the bad guy.

How would you feel if your partner publicly humiliated you like that? Why do you think her boyfriend felt justified in treating her that way? Does it sound like she is in a healthy relationship? What advice would you give her?
