Her Friend Attended An Upscale Cocktail Party With Her But Wore A Dress That Looked Like She Was Going Clubbing, So When Her Friend Complained About Being Uncomfortable, She Told Her It Was Her Fault For Not Dressing The Right Way

When she and Sara arrived at the cocktail party, the other people who were invited didn’t want to even give Sara the time of day, though they were pretty polite.

She could tell that the other people were not comfortable around Sara, and Sara wasn’t comfortable either.

Sara stayed glued to her side, which would have been alright with her, but then Sara started to sulk and latched onto her arm.

Sara also kept whispering to her that she wanted to leave the party altogether.

“After the 3rd time Sara pulled me out of a conversation and told me she wanted us to leave the party, I got irritated and told her it was too…bad that she was uncomfortable, I warned her,” she said.

Outside of where the party was being held, there were two different bars in a public area, so she told Sara she could go out there and she would meet up with her in an hour when the show began.

She then said she couldn’t leave the private event, as it would make her look bad. Although she was not on the clock, her behavior still reflected on her boss, so she had to act the right way for the sake of her career.

“Sara stayed at the party instead, and eventually, it was over, and we attended the show,” she said.

“She didn’t speak to me at all on the drive home and texted me after I dropped her off that she was upset by the way I had treated her and that I should have left when she wanted.”

“I think that’s unfair, I talk about my job all the time, and she knows very well what expectations are placed on me at these events and how I am expected to act.”

“I tried to tell her, but obviously, I wasn’t going to force her to change. But she’s still mad, and a mutual friend is guilting me for “not caring” about Sara’s comfort, and I’m starting to feel a little bad…”
