After a lot of arguing back and forth, he reluctantly told her that she could go on the trip and that he would figure things out, even if he had to take some paid time off in order to take care of the children. However, at this point, she told him to forget about it and that she would just tell her friend that she couldn’t go.
“I don’t want her to be bitter about it because I completely understand needing a vacation, especially from kids/family, and have offered alternatives, like watching them for a weekend so she can do as she pleases, to which she was not very receptive,” he stated.
