Then, he pointed out that it hadn’t been his choice to take drama as an elective class. Apparently, drama is a “required exploratory class” at his school.
He didn’t want to be judged for taking drama and worried that people would make assumptions about his “character” if they believed he’d taken drama class of his own volition.
