That’s why a part of her realizes that the split is for the best. After all, she believes that her husband is a “textbook dismissive-avoidant” who displayed a lot of red flags throughout their relationship.
Despite knowing that she was never the perfect spouse, either, she also feels like she always tried more than her husband.
“There were many times where I questioned if I married the right person,” she revealed.
“However, a huge part of me doesn’t know how I’m going to do this; how I’m going to live life without my best friend. We’ve been together since we were 19, and he’s all I’ve ever known.”
That’s why she is not at all ready to even think about jumping back into the dating pool just yet. Honestly, she cannot even envision herself finding another guy that she can be completely herself with.
So, she has been going back and forth in her head– teetering between accepting that her marriage is over and hoping that her husband might change his mind in a couple of months and want to try again.
Still, even if her husband did end up coming back, she’s not sure how she would be able to trust that he wouldn’t just leave again when things got tough.
“I just feel so hurt, sad, and alone,” she vented.
