“It was Holly, not Molly, that invited Rose,” he said. “I pointed this out to her, and I thought I’d managed to make myself clear.”
But then, on the night of Rose’s party, the twins’ mom pulled up with both girls, and Molly was carrying a bunch of overnight stuff. He noticed that Molly looked embarrassed as if she had been taken to his house against her will.
When he told the twins’ mom once again that he only wanted a certain number of kids in the house, she called him cruel for turning away and excluding a child.
“Rose pulled me aside and asked me if Molly could just stay [since] she didn’t want there to be problems between the twins,” he recalled.
“I relented, so Rose went and asked Molly if she wanted to stay.” Then, Molly replied, “No, thank you.”
After all that drama, Molly didn’t even want to be at the sleepover. Her mom still gave him attitude and tried to make it seem like Molly didn’t want to go anymore because she had been excluded.
But later, Holly told Rose that her mom wanted Molly to attend the sleepover so she could have a night out! Molly actually dislikes sleepovers. Since the fiasco, he’s been getting messages from friends of Holly and Molly’s mom, who have also been calling him cruel.
Was he being cruel by not inviting Molly, or was her mom being manipulative?
