“Them not asking me to play a role, especially with my wife and our son having roles, confirmed for me that they don’t like me,” he said.
Then, he said that his plan to only take six hours off from his workday wasn’t retaliation against his brother-in-law and sister-in-law for not giving him a role in their wedding. His reasoning behind his decision was just that taking a full day off work would cut into his available PTO.
“It’s not my wedding, so I don’t make the calls, so it doesn’t bother me,” he clarified.
Thankfully, his wife defended him when his sister-in-law was upset that he didn’t take the entire day off work for the wedding. During the conversation, his wife also explained how his sister-in-law’s treatment of him has made him feel.
However, neither his sister-in-law nor his brother-in-law had reached out to talk to him or apologize. He further explained that on the day of the wedding, his son would be with his mother in the morning, and he would be bringing his son to the wedding and getting his son in his tux before the ceremony.
So, his wife won’t have to worry about being alone at the rest of the wedding events as maid of honor while taking care of their son.
Do you think he should have taken the entire day off of work to attend his sister-in-law’s wedding?
