His wife told him that her parents are her responsibility, and his parents are his. Although he told her he couldn’t afford to help them out himself, she told him that she shouldn’t be pressured into doing it, considering she never pressured him to contribute more to their living costs.

“I just don’t understand how she can be so cheap because she earns so much more than me,” he said.

Is he wrong to expect so much of his wife, or should his wife give his parents a bit of money, considering his situation?
