At the time, he had zero interest in doing any of those things and told Jane he wasn’t ready. He told her that if she truly loved him, she’d stick around while he got his act together before committing to anything that serious.
“So she apparently waited around for years, just waiting on him, before he finally told her last week that he didn’t want kids or to get married and that he was comfortable with the life he has currently,” she explained. “So, she left.”
That’s why Jane started having issues with her personally because she was expecting a baby with her husband. Jane also started having a crush on her husband because he was a man who wanted kids.
By the end of their conversation, she was overwhelmed and told him she understood why Jane had left him.
“I told him I understand him as well and his reasoning behind not wanting kids or marriage, but if it was that important to her, I can totally see why she left,” she recalled.
She also told her brother that she understood he wasn’t ready to get married or have kids, but she emphasized that Jane left because he made promises he couldn’t keep. Her brother became very angry and translated all her thoughts into her siding with Jane.
He’s accusing her of valuing Jane over him, her brother.
Do you think it was a good idea for her to express those feelings to her brother while he was in that state?
