That same day, his 4-year-old daughter had a dance recital in the evening. But since his teenager was still in a lot of pain, he felt he needed to stay home with her while his wife went to the recital.
Later, he received a text from his wife, who was very upset with him for not going to the recital. His wife told him that once their 4-year-old realized he wasn’t in the audience, she said she didn’t want to dance anymore.
Then, his wife said that his teenage daughter was old enough to manage her pain and that he didn’t have to stay home. She was so angry with him that she spent the night at her mom’s house.
Do you think he did the right thing by staying home with his oldest daughter instead of attending the recital?
