He was unconscious when they found him, but after performing 10 minutes of CPR, they were able to resuscitate him and place him in Violet’s care.
Immediately, Violet and her boyfriend got him to an emergency animal hospital, where he received care for his lungs and is expected to recover fully.
“He was mainly inhaling smoke,” Violet said in one of her videos. “He didn’t really get singed too badly. He burnt his fur a little bit, but he didn’t have any actual burns on his skin.”
As of the 16th, Parker was able to go home! However, his care racked up a massive vet bill. On top of it all, the damage from the fire was so bad that Kyrah lost all of her belongings.
Violet created a GoFundMe page for Kyrah and Kai, which has raised over $7,735, much of which is from TikTok viewers who wanted to help after seeing her videos. All of the money will go to Parker’s vet bills, which ended up being over $3,000, as well as new housing, food, and new belongings for Kyrah and her boyfriend.
“Please help in any way you possibly can,” Violet wrote on the GoFundMe page. “Every single dollar helps.”
