He refused to let that happen, though, and claimed that if his daughter did not show up and go along with the baby shower, then he would actually gift the jewelry and the engagement ring to his new fiancée!
“Who my dead wife would have loved,” he added.
Now, this seriously upset his daughter and his daughter’s wife– who both called him a selfish jerk and are still refusing to attend the party.
If you could not have guessed, though, his fiancée has taken his side and is claiming that he proposed a fair trade.
“And she is still beside herself with illness over the party,” he vented.
The rest of his family, though, does not agree with his shady attempt to bribe his daughter. Instead, they have reportedly been attacking him, and now, he is worried he might have permanently damaged his relationship with his daughter.
So, he has been left wondering whether using his late wife’s jewelry to bribe his daughter into attending his fiancée’s baby shower makes him a total jerk or not.
