She’s still struggling years after the fact with if it’s ok of her to want her dad to have done more than drop her cat off at the shelter.
“One part of me says: it’s just a cat, I’m sure it can adapt to any scenario and be just fine,” she said.
“But another part of me loved her very much and feels so much guilt and pain for not doing better for her.”
Since she found out about what her dad did with her cat, she hasn’t talked to him much at all. When she does interact with him, she can’t help but become furious and freak out on him.
She’s left wondering if it’s mean of her to continue holding a grudge against her dad and not wanting to forgive him.
