This twenty-six-year-old woman’s wedding is just three months away. And both of her sisters– Sadie, who is twenty-nine, and Olivia, who is twenty– are her maids of honor.

The event is going to be quite large and elegant since both she and her husband invited a lot of guests. Plus, they have always dreamt of a luxurious ceremony anyway.

But even though most of the wedding planning has gone smoothly, she has been running into some problems with her younger sister, Olivia– because apparently, Olivia is just being “difficult.”

The first issue she had to deal with was Olivia’s disapproval of the bridesmaid dresses. For context, she opted for a light dusty pink tone since that color matched the rest of her decor palette.

Then, she told all of the bridesmaids that they could pick whatever style dress they wanted– as long as it was that color.

Right out of the gate, though, Olivia shared how dusty pink was just not her color. In fact, she claimed that wearing it would actually make her really insecure since she is pale, and the dress would make her skin look red.

“I suggested a spray tan since the color of the dresses had already been set in stone. But, she said absolutely not– which was fair,” she recalled.

However, this disagreement was very short-lived compared to their most recent sister squabble. Now, they are actually feuding about Olivia’s hair color.

This all stems back to years ago when Olivia began highlighting her dark brown hair with blonde.

About a year ago, though, Olivia decided to quit dyeing altogether in hopes of growing out more healthy locks.

And according to her, Olivia’s hair looked fine for the first month or so. The roots had not fully come in yet, so the two tones blended together almost like a balayage.

“But now, we are around the year mark, and her roots are straight-up brown. There’s a straight line, no blending, and blonde for the last eight inches of her hair,” she explained.

Plus, she claims that Olivia refuses to wear her hair up to hide the roots during the wedding– which she is totally not okay with. She does not want her hair to be “on full display” in all of the wedding pictures.

“I love my sister and respect what she wants to do with her hair. However, her hair is an eye sore, and I’ve never seen anyone let their hair look like this for this long,” she vented.

So anyway, she ended up talking to her hairdresser about Olivia’s hair and found out that there are a bunch of options out there to blend the two tones without giving Olivia a full dye job.

And apparently, her hairdresser claimed that all of the options were still healthy and would not cause further damage.

This prompted her to talk to Olivia and offer to pay for whatever her sister wanted to have done to her hair at the salon.

But Olivia refused and said she did not want to put any more chemicals in her hair. And honestly, she was beyond pissed.

She believes that her wedding is going to be the most important day of her life, and she does not want someone with “unkept roots” in her wedding party.

She also thinks that Olivia is being unreasonable because it’s not like she is asking her sister to cut or fully change the color.

And according to her, her mother and sister are both on her side, too. They have joined forces to encourage Olivia to change her hair for “the sake of not ruining pictures.”

But, if you could not have guessed it, all of the pressure has only made Olivia more irritated. So, with three months left until the wedding, she and her sister are still feuding, and she has been left wondering if asking Olivia to fix her hair was a jerky thing to do or not.

Should brides be allowed to control the hair color of their bridesmaids? Do you think she would have been more hesitant to ask if Olivia was not her sister? If you were in her shoes, would you have asked, too?
