She Was About To Be Put Down When He Saved Her Life And Now That She’s Struggling With An Unknown Illness He’s Doing Everything He Can To Save Her Life All Over Again

Tampa, Florida. 5 years ago, Pierre Wagner saved his dog Donna’s life when she was set to be euthanized.

“It was love at first sight, I went and started fostering her the next day,” Pierre explained on a GoFundMe page.

“I became a foster failure and adopted Donna. She will be with me until death do us apart.”

A few days ago, Pierre got off work and returned to the house he shares with Donna to discover something heartbreaking.

His beloved dog was walking straight into walls and making circles around the house. It seemed like she couldn’t see anything and was appearing to be quite stiff in her body as well.

Pierre wasted no time bringing Donna to a veterinarian, who insisted that Pierre needed to rush her to a local emergency hospital.

Pierre packed up Donna and drove to the Veterinarian Emergency Group, where Donna received an entire workup.

Veterinarians at the emergency hospital thought that Donna might have a tumor in her brain, and they asked to keep her overnight before having her transferred to a local neurologist.

“No Neurologist was able to take her as a transfer,” Pierre said. “I picked her up the next day and was discharged to follow up with a neurologist. I was also given medications Keppra 750 tid, gabapentin 300 mg bid, and prednisone 30 mg bid.”

Pierre made sure that Donna got all of her prescribed medications, and she was improving on them.

After one of Donna’s vets recommended that Pierre take her off the dose of prednisone she was on since it will not be good for her to be on it for too much time, Pierre noticed that Donna quickly went downhill and her symptoms immediately returned.

So, Pierre began giving Donna the prednisone again, and she started to seem better to him.

Donna then was seen by a neurologist at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital, who asked Pierre to reduce Donna’s dose of prednisone.

“Her Neurologist Stated she has anemia of an unknown cause,” Pierre continued. “He stated we cannot do an MRI until she is weaned down on the Prednisone because it will shrink a tumor and may not be seen on an MRI.”

“Donna urgently needs to be seen by an Internal Medicine Specialist to find out why her body is attacking herself.”

“A brain tumor cannot be diagnosed without an MRI. She needs an MRI which is very costly. I have spent over 5500 dollars this month. We still don’t have a clear cause to Donna’s declined health.”

Pierre saved Donna’s life 5 years ago, and now he’s trying everything he can to save Donna for a second time.

If you would like to donate to the GoFundMe page Pierre set up to help get Donna an MRI so they can get to the bottom of what’s making this poor girl so sick, you can do that here.
