One of her friends who was in attendance that day is named Ruth, and she’s been friends with Ruth for around 5 years. They initially met at work, and even after Ruth took a job somewhere else, they stayed friends.

She Was Scared To Abandon Ruth
“I’m not gonna lie, at times it has felt like our friendship is very one-sided with me taking care of her a lot — but she doesn’t have many other friends in her life even though she’s a genuinely kind and caring person. So I didn’t want to abandon her.”
Prior To Her Wedding, She Made Sure To Speak To Ruth
Leading up to her wedding, she made sure Ruth knew exactly what she was getting herself into by being a guest.
She let Ruth know about how many people were coming, she let Ruth know she was getting a DJ, she let Ruth know there would be alcoholic drinks…she did everything she could to make sure nothing was a surprise.

She even said to Ruth that it would be alright for her to skip out on coming to her wedding if it all seemed like too much.

Ruth Then Accused Her Of Not Helping In Her Time Of Need

She was shocked that Ruth was so accusatory since it was her wedding day and it’s not like her job was to babysit Ruth.
She Apologized To Ruth
She apologized to Ruth and acknowledged that there was no way she could have attended to her while her wedding was going on. Even though it’s now been two years since she got married, her relationship with Ruth has been tainted.
Things between them are strained, and she’s positive it’s because Ruth somehow feels let down by her for what happened at the wedding.
