She’s Going Viral For Sharing With TikTok Her Worst First Date Story About Some Guy That Made Her Order And Pay For 100 Tacos

Elyse Myers, a TikToker with 1.6 million followers, recently went viral after sharing the juicy details of her worst first date. You are probably thinking, “I’ve had some pretty weird first dates, too.”

Well, Myers’ experience- with a man she coined “taco guy”- definitely takes the cake.

On October 6th, Myers posted a hilariously unenthusiastic video describing the date. She described how before she met her “smoke show” of a husband, she was on dating apps.

“A man messaged me out of the blue and said ‘I like your face let’s get some food’,” Myers recounted.

The man told Myers to meet him at his house so they could drive to the restaurant together. “Why did we not just meet there? I have no idea,” Myers questioned.

After she arrived at his home, the man claimed to have lost his keys and asked Myers to drive. “Should I have left him right there and drove right home? Yes. Did I? Absolutely not,” she rants.

As Myers drove, the man gave her turn-by-turn directions. “He could have been leading me to an abandoned warehouse and I still would’ve been like, ‘Left turn at this stop sign? Okay!’,” she said and pretends to whip the steering wheel around.

The two finally arrive for their “date” at an unlikely location: Taco Bell. Myers asked, “Dine-in or drive through?” The man then instructed her to go through the drive-thru. This is where the “date” took a serious turn.

He leans over Myers to order and says, “I would like one hundred hard shell tacos, thank you.” As if Myer’s was not taken aback enough, once they arrived at the window the man started “patting” around his body. Myers immediately knew that he had forgotten his wallet.

“I buy the one hundred tacos and asked, ‘Where to next?’ He said back to his house and I was like, ‘Okay, this is happening’,” Myers recalled with a flat tone. She had already committed to the “date” and was trying her hardest to see it through.

As she walked into his house, Myers realized that the man lived with his dad- who was laying on the couch.

“The hoops that I was teleporting myself through to convince myself that this decision I had made was okay is wild,” she jabs at herself.

They went into the kitchen and the man started unleashing the tacos upon the dining table. They sat at the table and before they began to eat in uncomfortable silence, the man screamed, “Let’s feast!”

The last straw for Myers was when the man’s father entered the situation, though.

The father grabbed a taco and began crunching down while hovering above her. He then asked a major red flag question: “Want to see my studio?”

“I have never wanted to see anything less in my entire life,” Myers said and picked up all ninety-four remaining tacos.

“It was at that moment that I decided this date was over or else I was going to be killed. One hundred percent,” she said.

After collecting the boxes of tacos and walking out, she turned to the man one last time to say, “Thank you for this experience, you will never be seeing me again.”

After this video gained over 18 million views and 2.5 million likes, the TikTok community had tons of questions. Myers came out with a series of videos to answer the most commonly asked questions.

So, to clear up any confusion:

  1. Myers does not remember the man’s name.
  2. Yes, she actually did buy one hundred hard tacos. At their current price of $1.39, plus tax, the man racked up a bill of $149.07… for Taco Bell!
  3. It took about fifteen minutes for the tacos to be made, even though Myer’s said it, “Felt like an eternity.” Also, while they waited, the man talked to Myers about his ex-girlfriend. The red flags are overwhelming.
  4. Myers has no idea if the man was upset that she took the remaining tacos. “I was solely focused on collecting my tacos and looking like I did not need help to my car. Do you know how hard it is to confidently carry ninety-four tacos?” she joked with the viewers of TikTok.
  5. She did, in fact, eat all ninety-four soggy tacos to get her money’s worth.

While this sounds like an absolute train wreck of a date, and it was, Myers did eventually end up meeting “the one”. Again, in another unlikely but charming scenario.

“First and foremost, my husband is not the taco guy,” Myers cleared up in her final video. “I met my husband at a meat counter in a grocery store in Australia,” she then teased, “I know that’s what you all were thinking and you are absolutely right.” Myers is a prime example that sometimes, the worst first dates can lead you to the right person after all.
