130 Days Ago She Vanished After Someone Recorded Her Looking Disoriented And This Is The Final Voicemail She Left Her Mom

Prestonsburg, Kentucky. On June 1st of this summer, 36-year-old Kandi Gonzalez was obviously in need of help when someone recorded her on the Potter family’s lawn in the area of Abbott Creek Road.

That day, Kandi was dressed in a romper and she had none of her personal belongings with her.

She appeared confused and disoriented in a video that has since been shared on social media, and right before Kandi headed across the lawn and into a creek, vanishing completely, she left a voicemail for her mom.

Here’s what it said.

“Listen, I have your daughter, she says she’s your daughter, in my yard,” a woman who is part of the Potter family explained in the voicemail left for Betty Jo, Kandi’s mom.

“She’s asked me to call you..she’s…she’s…and her boyfriend apparently has kicked her out.”

You can hear Kandi in the background talking, but it’s muffled and unintelligible. “I thought that’s what you were saying,” the woman replied to Kandi.

Kandi is then passed the phone, and she sounded extremely distressed. “Mom, hey mom,” Kandi said.

“It’s voicemail honey,” the woman is heard telling Kandi.

Kandi repeated “mom” a few more times and it sounded like she was crying as the other woman told her again that it was just a voicemail she was leaving and that her mom was not there.

That was it. Then she was gone. A few days later, Kandi’s family was searching through the creek for her when they discovered her sandals that she had on, but that was the only sign she left behind.

It’s now been 130 days since Kandi was seen, and it’s like she vanished into thin air. There are no leads, no sightings, no evidence, and no updates in her case.

Stacy Potter is the man who owns the house where Kandi was last spotted, and although he wasn’t home when Kandi wandered across the lawn, his sister-in-law was.

He has made a post on Facebook to offer up an account of the events that happened that day leading up to Kandi’s disappearance and stated that his sister-in-law was at his house helping one of their disabled family members load the car.

As his sister-in-law was standing there in the driveway, some teenaged boys drove up to the house.

The boys were doing some landscaping work down the street and noticed Kandi walking around. They tried to help her but she headed to Stacy’s house, so the boys followed after her to see if there was anything that they could do.

“As they approached our address, they saw adults in the driveway and stopped to inform them of the situation,” Stacy wrote.

“That is when Ms. Gonzales entered our front yard, spoke to no one, and continued through our gate to the back yard. The next few moments were somewhat chaotic, but Ms. Gonzales was approached by our sister-in-law and was offered help.”

“We have seen the video of the exchange and it is unfortunate that Ms. Gonzales did not remain on our property and wait for additional attempts to phone her mother.”

“After Ms. Gonzales exited the property the police were notified in another attempt to help Ms. Gonzales.”

“All social media sleuths & Facebook Detectives are encouraged to keep the efforts going! I believe if we keep pressing the case we will get answers sooner than later!!”

Kandi has blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighs about 110 pounds and is 5’8. She was last seen wearing a pink, one-piece romper.
