She’s The Maid Of Honor And She Left The Bachelorette Party After Feeling Used By The Other Girls

One woman is set to be the maid of honor at her best friend Melissa’s upcoming wedding. Recently, she went on the bachelorette trip, which was in Atlantic City.

It took her 4 long hours to drive to Atlantic City, and when she arrived, she was shocked that Melissa did not get up to greet her, let alone introduce her to the other women who were on the trip with them.

“No one made any effort to get to know me at dinner,” she explained. “When the bill came, the girls said we’d split it evenly, which was unfair to me because I don’t drink alcohol and they all ordered multiple drinks.”

11 other women were on the trip with them, and she was literally the only person who did not drink.

She only ordered food, which cost $13, but she paid $65 to split things among everyone despite the fact that she didn’t have any drinks as she was trying to not cause problems.

After dinner, they all headed to a club, where they stayed until 2 in the morning. By the time she left, her ears were ringing from how loud it had been and she could not get to sleep that evening.

Although she got no sleep at all, she was up early the next morning, which was a Saturday, since they had an escape room planned for the afternoon.

She kindly made breakfast for all the women in the house, but nobody got up on time so they ended up missing the escape room.

Instead, all the women headed out for brunch, but the drive there was a disaster. Everyone insisted she should be the DD, and she could only fit 5 women in the car so the rest of the women got an Uber to the brunch spot.

It poured so hard as she drove that the roads were flooding and the water probably reached as high as her thighs that’s how bad it was.

She was seriously concerned her car wouldn’t get to brunch since it is older and driving through a downpour like this was a lot on it.

As she drove through treacherous conditions, the women started bemoaning the fact that they have to file their taxes separately from all their husbands since they both make north of $400,000 together.

These women were talking about this as they were all being chauffeured around in her older car, which seemed very rude.

“Not only was splitting the bill unfair to me because I don’t drink, but since I was driving everyone around, I was the only one paying for gas and parking fees,” she continued.

Brunch came to an end, and she paid $15 for her food, but since all the women said they should split it again, she forked over $45.

Post lunch, they were doing a scavenger hunt on the local boardwalk, and Melissa picked out the teams.

She felt upset that even though she is Melissa’s best friend and maid of honor, Melissa did not put her on her team.

When the scavenger hunt was finished, the women headed over to get more drinks, and everyone basically ignored her as they all chatted.

“I was the only quirky girl amongst sorority-types,” she noted.

At 5:30 that evening, the women were supposed to get on a booze cruise, but everyone was too busy drinking on the boardwalk to make it a priority to get there on time.

She headed for the parking garage with the women riding with her in tow while the rest of the women got in their Uber. Everyone was already running late at this point.

Unfortunately, when they got to the parking lot, she could not find her car anywhere. Melissa freaked out on her since they were going to miss the cruise entirely, and then she stormed off with the women who were supposed to ride with her so they could catch an Uber too.

They all left her there in the parking garage all alone, and she just couldn’t take it anymore. She started sobbing in the parking garage, and she decided that was it.

She finally found her car, headed back to the Airbnb that everyone had shelled out $450 each to rent, and she loaded her belongings into her car.

At 9 that night, she drove back home and ditched the awful bachelorette party. What’s really sad is that Melissa never reached out to her about it, and she hasn’t said a single word to her since then.

She figures Melissa is upset with her for going home, but she sincerely felt used and abused the whole time.

She does plan on still attending Melissa’s wedding since that’s a sunk cost.
