For two teen girls out sledding in Cleveland, Ohio, their fun-filled winter activities were supposed to end in joy and delight, but instead, they ended in unimaginable tragedies.
17-year-old Natalie Wilson and 14-year-old Eirelyn Zuercher were reportedly both sledding in the same park just a day apart when they suffered accidents.
Eirelyn lost her life, her dad also died, and Natalie is now paralyzed after what happened.

Eirelyn’s mom Katie explained in a Facebook post that Eirelyn was sledding on Saturday, February 20th, when her accident happened.
“On Saturday Eirelyn had a sledding accident and suffered a detrimental brain injury,” Katie wrote in her post.
“When they arrived at the Cleveland MetroHealth ER Jared experienced a massive heart attack that he did not survive.”
Jared is Eirelyn’s dad, and Katie’s husband.
“Eirelyn is currently on life support to maintain life long enough to find organ donor recipients. I am told this could take up to three days.”
“Waiting for the inevitable end is emotional and exhausting, but my hope is that a few terrible days for my family will mean a brighter future for other families who will benefit from her healthy organs.”
“I am so grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received.”

Eirelyn was taken off of life support on February 24th. “Eirelyn was able to give the gift of life to five people in her passing and now it’s our time to give,” a GoFundMe page created by Katie’s cousin Jen says.
“In this time of grief, please consider contributing to this fund. Any amount is appreciated and will go directly to Katie and Noella.”
The evening after 14-year-old Eirelyn had her accident, 17-year-old Natalie Wilson had one as well while out sledding.

“Natalie is a young, energetic 17-year-old girl with a bright future! She was involved in a sledding accident on Sunday evening, which left her with a broken back and ribs, along with a damaged spine,” a GoFundMe page created by one of Natalie’s family members says.
“She had surgery at Metro hospital and is in good spirits, but has little to no feeling from the chest down.”
“We were encouraged to hear that Natalie had tingling in her legs today and was able to move her toes according to doctors.”
