Incase’s Parra Designed Macbook Sleeve and iPhone Case

I haven’t been wowed by any cases lately, the designs have been pretty average and nothing that has popped in my opinion. However when I came across the latest from Incase I was definitely impressed. Dutch artist Parra was commissioned by Arkitip to create a custom designed sleeve for the 15″ Macbook Pro and a Slider Case for the iPhone 3G. The colors are a vibrant hot pink, light blue, and black with a funky weather orientated design concept.  The Parra Macbook Sleeve is comprised of a form fitting polyurethane and poly-satin quilted interior lining. The Parra Slider Case for the iPhone 3G is made of a hardshell plastic with easy access to all the controls, and the bottom portion of case slides away so that the iPhone can easily be docked. Both the sleeve and iPhone case retail for $59.95 from Incase.

ScanFast for Her Womens Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bags

We knew it was coming, with all these new checkpoint friendly bags that have been popping up, we knew it was a matter of time before not quite as ugly feminine-styled bags came out as well. Mobile Edge for Her has three new bags in their ScanFast for Her collection that exceeds all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines to be considered Checkpoint Friendly. There are three new cases in the collection: the Onyx ScanFast Briefcase, the Onyx ScanFast Backpack and a redesigned Element Briefcase. “The Onyx Briefcase and Backpack feature a designer developed exterior material with faux-croc accents and polished steel fittings. Moshi Neato Screen Cleaner and Concerti iPhone Case Review

Moshi’s new neato is a simple eco-friendly product that aims to keep your computer screen clean. The neato is there to wipe off fingerprints, grease and dust particles. Neato is made of microfiber and Terahedron which excels at managing to keep your screen clean without scratching or damaging a screen’s sensitive anti-reflective coating. The other “neat” aspect of the neato is that it’s able to adhere to many different types of surfaces, including the side or back of your display so you can reach for it to clean easily. This “stickiness” tech powered by what Moshi calls the GeckoPad so that neato is able to be attached over and over without leaving any residue.

Neato is also green friendly - it’s hand washable and renewable so that you can keep using it over and over, as opposed to traditional screen wipes where you use one and then throw it away.

I tried using the neato out on a 24″ iMac, which is a pretty big dust collector. The neato does a nice job of wiping dust away. The best part for me is that I can stick it to the bottom of the monitor for easy access. Neato comes with both a black and gray cleaner in each $16 package. These two colors of-course blend in well with the iMac and new Macbooks.

The Good:

The concerti case for the iPhone and iPhone 3G is kind of like a triple threat. It’s a case with an inner case, and it also comes with a Terahedron inner lining to keep your iPhone scratch free. Available in red, black or white, the outside of the concerti case is made of a stiff front and back panel covered in a smooth polyester like material that provides a good amount of protection for the iPhone. But that isn’t where the case’s protection ends.

Physically attached to the concerti’s outer case is a silicone case for extra protection - the silicon particularly serves to protect the sides of the iPhone. On the inside back of the silicon casing there is a microfiber like Terahedron inner lining which is there to help further protect your iPhone from scratches. A detachable neato microfibre pad is also attached to the back side of the front flap, so you can easily keep your iPhone streak and smudge free as well. The top of the case clasps to the other side of the case to keep the front flap together - without the use of a button.

Overall, the concerti case is well made and well thought out. It provides a tremendous amount of protection for your iPhone, while still allowing your iPhone to be usable. The included detachable neato pad helps keep your iPhone in tip top shape as well and is a nice touch. This is definitely the iPhone case for a clean freak. Unfortunately this level of protection does come with a price - the case adds a significant amount of bulk to the iPhone which could be cumbersome in pockets. The concerti iPhone case from Moshi retails for $40.

The Good:

Expensive Arlanda iPod Case is Inspired by Stockholm Airport

There are many iPod cases out there, but not one that is typically named after an airport. The Arlanda iPod Case from Want Les Essentiels De La Vie might be named after the airport in Stockholm but I’m not really sure why. It doesn’t have any signs of metal detectors or people angrily waiting on long lines. However, the inspiration from the Stockholm airport was apparently the perfect balance of metal and a simplistic black hard leather case.  A chrome piece of metal (maybe that was inspired by the wing of a plane) on the inside of the case will hold your iPod in place along with some business cards. The case also comes with a cleaning cloth and dust rag all for £75.00 - and yes, it’s one of those cases that cost almost as much as an ipod.

Project Runway is said and done for this season and with the way things are looking it may be quite sometime before we see it again on it’s new station Lifetime. In the meantime its nice to see that atleast one winner has truly reaped the rewards and grown her brand since winning season 2. Incase KRINK Limited Addition Sleeve Designed by Arkitip and Street Artist KR

The Arkitip curated laptop sleeve from Incase called KRINK, combines street cred with tech cool. This limited edition sleeve is the first collaboration between Incase, Arkitip and street artist KR. The KRINK case looks like white paint dripping down a black case and has the KRINK logo emblazoned inside the interior of the padded sleeve. The sleeve was made for a 13″ ( currently sold out) or 15″ Macbook and Macbook Pro respectively and retails for $79.95, which is more than we’re use dto paying for a case but you always pay more for street cred, don’t you?

Kata Bags Digital Rucksack DR-467 and Sensitivity V Backpacks Review

Being a blogger and one that travels quite often, you really depend on a good bag that is lightweight, durable, and will carry just about all your electronics and the many adapters along with them. Until now I was basically shoving (and carefully I might add) all my junk into typical laptop backpacks. My laptop in the designated laptop area, iPod, USB cables, adapters, USB keys, a book and a D/SLR in a separate camera bag. It is a tight fit but I managed, and I have to admit going through airport security was a bit hellish. Recently I discovered the Kata Bags and I have to say it was with great pleasure that I got to review both the Digital Rucksack DR-467-WY and Sensitivity V.
