LocalCooling is a free software application for Windows that automatically optimizes your PC’s power consumption and gives you detailed information on how much power your PC is using, whether you want to know or not. It adjusts your power mode settings and predicts how much you will save based on past PC usage and “statistical data”. So in other words it will save power by turning off your display, putting your hard drive to sleep when it’s not being used or shutting down your computer when you aren’t using it.
