Oasis Media Player Resembles a Mobile Phone
It looks like a cell phone, it kind of acts like a cell phone, but it’s not a cell phone. The Oasis Portable Media Player looks a lot like a slider, minus the drop down keypad. It’s got a 2 inch TFT display and the kind of stuff you’d expect to see in both a PMP and modern day cell phone - support for music files such was MP3 and WMA, five EQ modes, an FM radio, it can play movies, it has games, it has a photo browser and it even claims to play back flash files. Except that that last claim is kind of a lie, you have to first convert the SWF file to an AMV file format that we’ve never heard of. The Oasis can be found online for as little as $49 with a 2GB capacity, which isn’t too hot but at least you can expand it via Mini-SD.
