MediaCart Coming to a ShopRite Near You
Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Waldbaums, and Pathmark. Name a supermarket I have probably shopped there because it seems to be a cardinal sin for everything I need during a food shopping excursion to be in one place. Or maybe I’m just missing that mystery aisle that has my Praline Butter… well maybe the MediaCart can help me. In another step towards the apocalypse ruled by Terminators. We now have the interactive shopping cart that will tell you what is on sale for the day, down which aisle specific items are, and it will surely brainwash you with advertisements from the local businesses and Media. Oh yes we can’t get away from ads can we… Well Microsoft is helping MediaCart with their first big launch because their software is built on Microsoft CE and will also help advertisers market those ever important Lexus commercials. The early pilot program will take place in a few ShopRite Stores and if all goes well will expand to the rest of the chain. This is already the second time the MediaCart has been tested and this new and improved version was released based on feedback from customers and end users. So if you are lucky enough to be in one of those ShopRite’s testing out the MediaCart, let us know and be careful of any collisions near the fruit and vegetable section - I’m sure it will get a little dangerous when they announce the sale of Watermelons that day on the MediaCart.
